Personal data

Personal data is data about you. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to divulge any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases we need your name and address as well as further information to offer you the desired service.

In principle, we collect and use personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The collection and use of personal data of our users takes place regularly only with the consent of the user. An exception applies to cases in which prior consent is not possible for reasons of fact and the processing of the data is permitted by law.

Personal data is collected by us and only to the extent that you provide it to us with your knowledge. Your personal data provided by you will be stored for the purposes of contact if you have expressly given us your consent. You have a right of revocation at any time with regard to given consent. An indication of the processing purposes takes place in the appropriate places of our websites and is subject to no subsequent changes.

A transfer of data to third parties without your consent occurs only if we are legally obliged to do so.

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject, Art. 6 GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data. Similarly, Art. 6 GDPR is relevant to the processing of personal data required to fulfil a contract; a legal obligation to which our company is subject; necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures; in the event that vital interests of the data subject or a third party require processing; or in order to safeguard the legitimate interest of our company or a third party and whose interests outweigh the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

A transfer of personal data through the use of social media plugins takes place.

Storage duration of personal data

Personal data is stored for the duration of the respective statutory retention period. After expiry of the deadline, the data will be routinely deleted, unless there is a need related to a contract or fulfilment of the contract.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our website, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. This includes: Type and version of the browser used, date and time of access, as well as the IP address.

This data is anonymised and used only for statistical purposes or to improve our internet and online services.
This anonymised data is stored separately from personal data on secure systems and cannot be assigned to individual persons. This means that your personal data remains protected at all times.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an Internet server to your browser and stored on the hard disc. Only the Internet Protocol address is stored here – no personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows automatic recognition of you the next time you visit our website, which will facilitate your use.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognised the next time you visit, you can also refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to “decline cookies”. The respective procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your respective browser. If you refuse the use of cookies, however, this may result in restrictions in the use of some areas of our websites.

The majority of the cookies we use (session cookies) become invalid after the end of the browser session. Persistent cookies remain on your device and allow us to recognise your browser on your next visit. This data is not used to personally identify the visitor to this website.

Cookies are stored on the computer of the user and transmitted by it to us. Therefore, as a user, you have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your Internet browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies.

Use of Google Analytics with anonymisation function

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereafter “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and thus allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the United States and stored there. We use Google Analytics on our website with the addition “_gat._anonymizeIp”. In this case, your IP address will already be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thus anonymised. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on our website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or as far as third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google does not claim to link your IP address to other data provided by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to fully use all functions of our website.

Google also offers a deactivation add-on for the most popular browsers, giving you more control over what Google collects about the sites you visit. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no website visit information should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics Disable Add-on for the browser does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or any other web analytics services we may use. Further information on the installation of the browser add-on is available via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

If you visit our site via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must instead click this link to prevent Google Analytics tracking within this website in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser add-on. Clicking on the link places an opt-out cookie in your browser that is valid only for that browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted, so you will have to click the link again.

Doubleclick by Google

Doubleclick by Google is a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to show you advertisements that are relevant to you. Your browser will be assigned a pseudonymous identification number (ID) to check which ads have appeared in your browser and which ads have been viewed. The cookies do not contain any personal information. Using the DoubleClick cookie allows Google and its affiliate websites to serve ads based on previous visits to our or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted by Google for evaluation to a server in the USA and stored there. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the “US Safe Harbor” agreement and is registered with the US Department of Commerce Safe Harbor Program. A transfer of the data by Google to third parties takes place only due to legal regulations or in the context of commissioned data processing. In no case will Google match its data with other data collected by Google.

By using our web pages, you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Google and the data processing manner and scope described above and the purpose stated above. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case you may not be able to fully use all functions of our website. You may also prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookies and related to your use of the website and the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the DoubleClick Deactivation Extension link below. Alternatively, you can disable the Doubleclick cookies on the Digital Advertising Alliance website at the following link.

GA Audience

Our website uses GA Audience, a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereafter: GA Audience). GA Audience uses, among other things, cookies that are stored on your computer as well as other mobile devices (e.g. smartphones, tablets, etc.) and that allow an analysis of the use of the corresponding devices. The data is evaluated partially across devices. Google Audience will have access to the cookies created as part of the use of Google Adwords and Google Analytics. In the context of the use data, in particular the IP address and activities of the users can be transmitted to a server of the company Google Inc. and stored there. Google Inc. may transfer this information to third parties, if required by law or to the extent that such data is processed by third parties. In addition, you may prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the Google cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en). As a provider, we assume no liability for the damage caused by such vulnerabilities.

Accordingly, we do not process personally identifiable data in e-mail traffic. However, you have the option to use encrypted transmission via our contact form (in https format). Only in this way can we guarantee a secure and confidential transmission.
