The majority of diseases and injuries to the shoulder and elbow can be treated minimally invasively today. Even with complex joint-preserving interventions, the focus is on arthroscopic techniques. Modern modular and bone-saving implants are used for joint replacement and constantly evolving. A thorough history and careful assessment in combination with adequate imaging are the foundation for a correct diagnosis.
Dr. Kircher is Associate Editor of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and a member of the editorial board of the journal Arthroscopy (The Journal of Arthroscopy and Related Sciences) and is also a reviewer for other well-known journals.
